BFA provides an English language education for grades 4-12. Grades 1-3 are part of a bilingual school, Christliche Schule Kandern. BFA has an enrollment of approximately 310 students, about 50% of the 7th-12th grade students are residents in the boarding program.
BFA's commitment to quality, international, Christian education means that BFA is a great place to grow through service. BFA is seeking men and women who are passionate about missional Christian education, who will serve as models to students of what it means to follow Christ. Interested applicants should browse current job openings on BFA’s website and fill out a pre-application online. At the same time, it’s a good idea to fill out a preliminary application with TEAM because all BFA staff members come through an international mission organization. As such, each staff member must provide his or her own financial support through donations (usually tax-deductible) from churches, family, friends, or personal savings.
TEAM and BFA prefer that applicants commit to a two-year minimum stint. It takes a certain amount of time to adjust to living and working in a new setting, doubly so in a foreign culture. In cases of dire need, the school might give its okay for a one-year commitment.
