East Asia : Cross-cultural Internship Coordinator/Director

Description

The internship director will help us develop our internship program by recruiting western interns to come to east asia for various cross-cultural learning experiences, by winning association with Western schools so that partners would feel confident about sending their interns to us on a regular basis, coordinating with on-site mentors as they craft customized intern experiences, regularizing, as much as possible, the learning goals of our internships--e.g., spiritual formation, mininistry skills, personal professional development & futuring, cross-cultural learning, etc.  This position will also require the director of internships to take care of all the living arrangements of interns and overall responsibility for success of internship experiences.

Requirements

At least a bachelor's degree in humanities or preferrably education management. Willingness to learn our cross-cultural situation, ability to network both in USA and in East Asia, creativity in developing solutions as problems arise, teamwork with team on-site, heart for working in a restrictive creative access area of East Asia where the gospel is most needed, and willingness to work in a developing area of Asia.

 

Mandarin proficiency or willingness to study Mandarin on arrival.
