Thailand : Home School Support Coordinator (OMF)
TEAM is partnering with OMF International in Thailand. OMF’s growing ministries in east Asia include everything from church planting, youth outreach, and medical ministries to teaching and working among minority people groups.
A Home School Support Coordinator is needed to assist missionary families with education of their children. Your job would be to coordinate and give educational support to OMF home school families in Thailand.
To visit each home school family for a designated period of time each year
Assist with teaching, encourage and advise parents
To coordinate support for short-term tutors
To give professional support to short-term tutors
To coordinate three cooperative home school weeks per year
To maintain Home School Resource Library and make resources available to parents

Qualification & Experience
Experienced teacher with high skill level
Administration skills, including high level of computer literacy
Experience in multi-age teaching or teaching internationally is an advantage
Willingness to adapt teaching style to suit different nationalities, curricula, and family needs
Flexibility and strong relationship skills are needed, both in person and in writing
Commitment to language study to facilitate independent living and travel will be essential
For less than 3 years: formal Bible study resulting in a Certificate or higher in Christian Ministry, Bible, or Theology, or closely related field
For more than three years: formal Bible training resulting in one or more of the following:
Certificate in Christian Ministry and Bible Training
Bachelor or Masters degree in Bible or Theology
Masters or higher in Divinity, or related field
Singles, either gender, couples, or families
Commit to 2 or more years of service
Complete Associate or member application process including: application forms, interview, medical and psychological review
Raise full financial support
Attend Orientation Course in Singapore before coming to the field
Language and culture study commensurate with length of stay. One to three years requires 3 - 9 months of language study. More than three years requires full language and culture program, consisting of one year of full-time study, followed by 2nd year of transition to ministry location and half-time language study.
For English-as-a-second-language applicants, these levels of English assessment are required:
IELTS - 5.0
TOEFL - 500 (173 in computer version)
TOEIC - 675
OPE - 3.0
