Chad : Community Health Educators
TEAM’s work in this region of Chad includes community development, education, and healthcare programs. An experienced TEAM Chad missionary couple is leading this ministry, building friendships as they live out their faith among the people. We seek to establish an indigenous, culturally sensitive reproducing church of Jesus Christ here.
Community Health Educators are needed to help establish a community health education program. The goal of the Community Health Educators is to teach basic health and hygiene lessons (while addressing issues of the heart) as an outreach to those villages. The Community Health Educators will be working with missionaries and nationals.
Job responsibilities also include the training of national hygiene facilitators and being a catalyst for this holistic ministry.
Strong Biblical foundation.
Formal CHE/CDE training.
Experience in CHE.
Training in Muslim ministry will be helpful (but not required).
Willingness to live and work in a remote, underdeveloped region.
Vibrant and growing relationship with Christ and good prayer life.
At least a one year equivalency of Bible education.
Languages used in this region include Chadian Arabic and French; language learning would be required but level would depend on length of service.
