Italy : Youth Worker (Trieste - Tergeste)

We are seeking young, friendly, out-going individuals or couples who can connect with university students and young adults, evangelizing and discipling them and helping them get plugged into the local body of believers.

Cultivate relationships and build friendships with young adults. Hang out with them as individuals and in groups, sharing life experiences. Be available to them. Model Christian living as you work and play, earning the right to share Christ with them.

Italian youth and young adults are giving in to great despair as they deal with staggering unemployment rates and much uncertainty about the future. This affects both those dealing with failure in landing a job and those still in school who see the dimming possibilities they will face. They need Hope! The youth in Trieste are turning more and more to drugs and alcohol to dull their boredom and hopelessness. There is a wide open door for ministry!

  • Love and be committed to the local church
  • Friendly/out-going/sociable, servant’s heart, teachable, flexible
  • Self-starter but able to work with others and not a lone-ranger
  • Willing to partner with a church planting team
  • Italian needed for mid-term (can be learned after arriving)
  • Musical ability is a plus, but not required
