Mexico : Summer short-term worker

Description

Rancho el Camino provides a holistic, experiential, and intensive missions trip for high school (age 16+) and college-aged students from Mexico, Canada, and the Unitested States.  Students have an opportunity to learn frist hand about ministry in a cross-cultural settling and learn more about their own gifts and passions.  Students can expect to be involved in the Ranch Community of Faith and will have time to connect with God, pray, and study the Word together on a daily basis.  Students can also expect to be stretched in their capactiy to lead, tackle new problems, and grow in their personal character as they work and serve together in the daily aspects of the Ranch.  Students can expect to work in the mornings at the Ranch and play and work with the children in the neighbohoods in the afternoons.  Students will assist in the daily work on the Ranch and in the planning, prepping, and implementation of the Ranch's Summer Day Camps.  Students will be assigned to various work teams such as Construction Crew, Barn Crew, Gardening Crew, and Camp Prep Crew.  Students can also expect to  have fun as they have desinated times to visit the beautiful beaches around La Paz, walk the boardwalk, explore the desert, enjoy the city, and simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Ranch.  Check out pictures and previous summer intern videos at http://www.ranchoelcamino.org.

This mission trip is intenitonally designed to stretch students phycilaly, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they engage in cross-cultural ministry, community development, and general ranch life.  Students live in a communal atmosphere and learn how to care for one another as they work and serve together.  Students have the opportunity to connect with Godly mentors who desire to see them grow in their faith and life experience and help them discover their life calling. 

Requirements

Willingness to serve, learn, and be flexible.  A desire to work with children, help run day camps, do manual labor, and build relationships with others.
