East Asia : Folk Art Internship

Internship for studying the folk art (music or visual) of East Asia minority peoples-- this is a great opportunity for field research and some classroom learning regarding ethnomusicology, folk art graphic, Asian embroidery, and Asia minority dress.

Resourcefulness, autonomous learning, creativity and culturally adaptive hardiness are requirements for this internship. The vision of this internship program is that through study and practical research, the intern will develop vision for the most needy peoples of East Asia, make friends among these people groups, and lay foundations for future formal study back in their home country.

In addition to these academic goals, the intern will also be a full member of missions team and will cooperate with that team as its members implement strategies.

Finally, all interns are mentored on-site on a weekly basis, tutored in cultural adaptation methods, and encouraged in their spiritual formation.

BA in music, art, photography and graphic design preferred
