Papua : Youth Worker / Program Director
Your primary task is to live your life as Christ would live in Merauke. Your secondary task will be to build bridges of relationship that will bear the weight of truth among the youth by developing a youth activities program for the Merauke Community Center.
This program will be designed to excite, educate, entertain, and interest the youth of Merauke in the Merauke Community Center. You will be part of the ministry team, and need to be willing to be flexible, and work with others. Other tasks may include: help with managing the community center, managing national employees, discipling, mentoring, and coaching Christian national workers & youth, life-style evangelism, and using the gifts God has given you to be a light in a very dark community.
A minimum of 2 years of working in youth ministry, an ability to teach others those skills, a vibrant and growing relationship with Christ, training in "Majority Tribe" ministry will be helpful (but not required), willingness to live in an underdeveloped city, good prayer life, experience working on a team, at least a 1 year equivalency of Bible education, working towards living your life how Jesus would live it in the place you currently live.
On-field training requirements:
Indonesian language (min. 6 months, up to 1 year), cultural & job specific studies on how to build relationships with "Majority Tribe" in Papua, team building exercises
